Voting Zavediuk as School Trustee for the City of North Vancouver means voting for a professional educational advocate who will always put kids first.
Our community is one of the most amazing in the world, as your School Trustee, my role is to make it better. I will not try to reinvent how everything should be done, but will work hard to research, analyze and strategically plan how the details can be better accomplished.
North Vancouver School District Board of Education has an excellent established Vision, Values and Goals. A guide for its mandate, but now is the time for new education professionals to lead, as the current board has had disruptive internal challenges.
The Board of Education action points for its established goals are; Expand, Develop, Encourage, Provide, Nurture, and Strengthen. These are both supportive goals for our students, educators and community and challenging goals for the School Trustees.
A School Trustee must understand daily educational challenges in order support today’s students, but also must work to understand the systems that constrain the Boards ability to elicit change.
Having been a secondary school counsellor and teacher and having served as a Senior Educational Administrator and Director of an accredited BC Ministry of Advanced Education college, I have the experience and proficiency needed.
“We can have everything we want, but we cannot have it all right now.” is the way I approach life. Our community is amazing, but it is human nature to want growth and change, it might be new facilities or new programs. How do you make that happen?
Kids first; you strengthen the current situation. Then you research, analyze and strategically plan using common sense, real world data and consultation with all stakeholders to lead to action.
The focus must always take care of current student's needs through transitions or to minimize unavoidable situations so every student receives the highest educational support possible.
Voting Z means you will have an outstanding, professional and hard-working City of North Vancouver advocate who will help support our students, educational system and community to achieve its exceptional goals.
